United Way of Door County – empowering people to build better lives

Your Community Commitment
We know that you have values that you hold close to your heart. You have a personal commitment to caring for your community, creating results, achieving goals, and inspiring others.

United Way’s Commitment
United Way of Door County is a leader in our community by empowering people to build better lives. In 2007 we are allocating over $290,000 to funded partner agencies and programs in support of our community.  This year we have set an aggressive campaign need of $500,000.  If this need is met we will be investing nearly $390,000 in our funded partner programs and various projects through our impact areas.  The “neighbors matter” campaign is truly a community effort and we want you on the Leadership Circle team.

Our Community’s Need
United Way of Door County and the community have identified critical needs, which United Way and its partner agencies and programs address through funded initiatives.  Issues such as aging relatives, teen pregnancy, drug and alcohol abuse, language barriers, violence and neglect, lack of food and shelter, and affordable health care affect the lives of Door County residents each day.

The issues that affect our friends and neighbors ultimately affect our community as a whole.  The United Way partner agencies and programs confront all of these issues and more through the services provided.  Become part of the solution, become part of the Leadership Circle, through your investment in United Way of Door County.

Our Community Investment
Your investment supports thirty-nine programs run by local agencies, which provide services and meet needs every day in our community.  Your investment will not only temporarily help people; it will empower them to build better lives for the future.
