United Way of Door County Volunteer Opportunities Volunteering your time and skills to help your community is an exciting Listed below are volunteer opportunities at United Way of Door County.
Office Help Especially between August and November, we need lots of help putting together mailings. It is often as simple as folding brochures and stuffing envelopes. Usually, it's put together in a matter of a day or two, so the conference room table is filled with busy hands and engaging conversation. If you would like to be placed on our "on-call" list - we'll check and see if you're available when we need you!! Sometimes it's only 2-day's notice, sometimes it's more. But, you are always a valued volunteer here at United Way of Door County and we appreciate it whenever you're able to help out. Board of Directors continually monitors, reviews and updates the financial, human resources, and operating practices in order to keep our local United Way accountable and efficient. Marketing Committee helps design all the print materials, website, and other marketing materials needed throughout the year to keep United Way of Door County foremost in the minds of residents and non-residents. Office Volunteers keep the wheels of United Way turning. They help with mailings, delivering campaign materials, addressing envelopes, and perform countless other tasks that are essential to the day-to-day operations of United Way. Investor Relations Volunteers develop, maintain, and grow relationships with individuals and organizations in order to attract and sustain resources to support United Way of Door County's mission. Employee Campaign Coordinators organize and implement their company's internal employee fundraising campaign at their workplace. Special Event Volunteers help plan and organize events, such as our Fall Golf Classic and Chefs for a Day events. Day of Caring is an annual volunteer event that allows companies, organizations and individuals to participate in activities that create positive community change.
